During the MENA Regional Championship 2025 (MRC 2025), Team Eagles delivered an inspiring run through the Syrian qualifiers of League of Legends, demonstrating both competitive excellence and the rapidly growing potential of Syrian esports.
This tournament marked a historic chapter for the organization, not only because of their remarkable performance, but also because it ultimately led to the formation of a new powerhouse roster within the Team Eagles family.
The Road Through the Syrian Qualifiers
The Syrian qualifiers of the MENA Regional Championship 2025 brought together some of the country’s most competitive League of Legends teams. The tournament followed a single-elimination structure leading to a high-stakes Grand Final where only one team would secure qualification to the main regional event.
Team Eagles entered the tournament with determination and quickly established themselves as one of the strongest contenders.
Round 1: Victory Against Ghost
Team Eagles began their campaign against the Syrian team Ghost, a matchup that tested their coordination and early-game strategy.
With disciplined macro play and strong objective control, Team Eagles secured a 1–0 victory, advancing confidently into the next round of the bracket.
The victory set the tone for what would become one of the most memorable runs in the organization’s competitive history.
Round 2: Overcoming Valor
The next challenge came against Valor, another rising team within the Syrian League of Legends scene.
This match demanded even more strategic depth from Team Eagles. Through calculated drafting, strong lane pressure, and decisive late-game shot-calling, the team managed to overcome Valor and advance to the tournament’s most important stage.
The win secured Team Eagles a spot in the Grand Finals, where they would face one of the most formidable opponents in the tournament.
The Grand Finals: Team Eagles vs MTN Esports
The Grand Final matchup featured Team Eagles against MTN Esports (More Than Noobs), a team known for its aggressive gameplay and strong synergy. The finals were played in a best-of-five series, creating an intense and dramatic showdown between the two top Syrian teams of the tournament.
MTN Esports 3 – 2 Team Eagles
Team Eagles pushed the series to the absolute limit, forcing a decisive fifth game. Despite their incredible performance, the team ultimately finished the tournament as runners-up after a hard-fought 3–2 defeat.
While the final result denied them qualification, the team’s performance proved that Syrian esports talent can compete at a high regional level.
From Rivals to Teammates: The Birth of Hexa Eagles
In a remarkable twist following the tournament, the story did not end with the final match.
After the conclusion of MRC 2025, the roster of MTN Syriatel joined the Team Eagles organization, forming a new competitive lineup called: Hexa Eagles
This strategic expansion marked a major milestone for the organization.
Today, Team Eagles operates with two official rosters:
Team Eagles (Original Roster)
The roster that competed throughout the qualifiers and built the foundation of the organization’s competitive presence.
Hexa Eagles (New Roster)
The former MTN Esports lineup, now competing under the Team Eagles banner.
This structure allows the organization to strengthen its presence in the regional esports scene while continuing to develop multiple competitive squads.
